When building the SheDo Tax Company I had a simple vision: To create a company that not only wanted to help people but to educate them. If we can’t help, we do everything in our power to direct you in the right direction of companies and individuals we stand behind.
The SheDo staff are certified Quickbooks Online ProAdvisors. We also are all members of the Canadian Tax Academy and continue to educate ourselves with courses, webinars and conventions to do our very best to be on top of current and updated tax legislation.

To say my taxes are complicated is a bit of an understatement, and with Rachel helping out with my bookkeeping, they've managed help me consistently get my taxes filed on time after years of being late. Whether it's a simple, straightforward T4 tax return, or more complex multiple corps/holding companies, they should be who you call! Update: Had our relationship with She Do Taxes not ended we would have unnecessary paid over $6k in taxes when in fact we were owed a refund. We’re not sure why, but Kelly and Rachel seem to be unable to accept when they make errors. Mistakes happen, but it’s how you resolve them that matters. It’s apparently disrespectful to bring errors to their attention even when you use words like please when you ask the errors be corrected. We opened our business in 2018 and we had been with the same bookkeeping and tax company since 2019 until we ended that relationship in December 2023. Unfortunately, our longtime bookkeeper was fired and left our books in an awful state. Kelly and Rachel suggested that we should start a new set of books because they said our books weren’t accurate. In her response to our first review which has been removed, Kelly indicated that we have had multiple bookkeepers which is obviously untrue. Yes, we did ask Kelly to provide commentary on the state of our books which she did provide. It’s shocking she would gaslight us given our experience with the company we trusted for so long. We can only assume it’s to downplay Rachel’s errors we found that would have led to us paying over $600 extra in HST and missing almost a week’s worth of sales due to a data entry error. These errors were easy for my partner to find with her background as an analyst by doing quick data validation and variance analysis. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Google permits the sharing of emails on its platform. In those emails Rachel acknowledges her errors and Kelly provides the commentary we requested. After our experience, we recommend using an accountant with a designation such as Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) because anyone can call themselves an accountant. For bookkeeping use a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB). Always review your accountant’s and bookkeepers’s qualifications. What is their education? After speaking with a CPA firm, we have since learned we don’t need a new set of books. Designations matter. They demonstrate an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience that reflect best practices and today’s industry trends. They also demonstrate a level of professionalism which unfortunately we did not experience at SheDo Taxes dealing with Rachel and Kelly. Update: I have read all of the correspondence with you and Rachel as our business email address is a shared email and I disagree with your observations of the disrespectful communication. It isn’t disrespectful to bring errors to attention. Additionally, I am the sole owner of our small business and collectively we are unhappy with the service.
